2010 WBTshowcase Recap
Since 2002, the World’s Best Technologies Showcase has served as the world’s largest forum of pre-screened emerging technologies. The WBTshowcase, held every year in Arlington, Texas, features emerging technologies from top universities, laboratories, research institutions, and the private sector. The WBT has become a gem in the innovation ecosystem in Texas, as leaders from across the globe flock to Arlington to discuss key technology commercialization issues and collaboration opportunities.
ACTiVATE Program, Recruiting Texas Women for High-Tech Entrepreneurial Opportunities
In a little more than a month, Texas State University will start a new entrepreneurial program called ACTiVATE. The ACTiVATE acronym emphasizes the goal of the program, as ACTiVATE focuses on Achieving the Commercialization of Technology in Ventures through Applied Training for Entrepreneurs. The ACTiVATE program demonstrates that Texas State University is taking proactive and progressive steps toward technology commercialization.

April 6 was a big day for Innovate Texas, as we officially announced the launch of our organization. So, where do we go from here? Innovate Texas is currently establishing relationships with several communities and groups across the state including: academic institutions, investors, entrepreneurs, incubators, etc. While we understand that Innovate Texas may not hold all the answers to all the questions, we realize that our network can provide the answers.
