Talk About Innovation
Welcome CTSI to Texas!
Energy thought leader and blogger Joel Serface recently wrote, "Texas’ strength in energy runs deep in the veins of its people." That said, we're thrilled to share this news...
Today, we announced yet another feat for the State of Texas and the Innovate Texas Foundation. We were successful in getting the Clean Technology and Sustainable Industry Organization, or CTSI, to move their headquarters from Boston, Mass., to our headquarters here in Austin. This is major news for Texas as evidenced by coverage by the Austin American-Statesman, Austin Business Journal, and the Houston Chronicle.
This is a major accomplishment not only for Austin - in large part due to the recruitment efforts of Austin Energy and the Austin Chamber of Commerce - but also for the entire state. The Governor couldn't have said it any better when he said, "Their move from Massachusetts is yet another sign of our state's leadership position in developing clean technologies."
CTSI includes roughly 100 members consisting of traditional energy companies and emerging green technology companies and helps to secure policies that support clean technology and sustainable practices across a broad swath of industries. It also works to assist emerging companies, which is precisely why Innovate Texas Foundation is thrilled to have CTSI in house with us.
CTSI's founder Matt Laudon, Ph.D., is an Austin native and is excited to come back home. He also co-founded the world's largest nanotech community, the Nano Science and Technology Institute (NSTI), and has worked for the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL), Motorola in Los Alamos National Laboratories and numerous early stage companies in commercialization and partnership development.
We are very pleased to welcome CTSI and their leadership to Austin. Please stay tuned for more exciting news on the clean tech and energy fronts...

The advocacy is certainly
The advocacy is certainly great, I wish that government and even some private sectors will support the campaign toward clean technology and greener environment. The quest of a sustainable environment is everyone’s concern, we held responsible with our actions in making our mother earth promising planet to live. Collaborative effort from the people will make our goals came true. Take part in global move toward restoration of our dear mother earth . Conserve and protect that the best that we can do for now.
