Universities
Texas is home to some of the oldest and most reputable universities in the United States. Texas, as a whole, consistently ranks among the best in the nation in the creation of intellectual property, the number of federal grants received for basic research, and the number of research publications in its public and private institutions of higher education. These high rankings are a direct indication of the level of talent and value of intellectual capital within our university systems.
