Finding Resources in Texas Just Got Easier, Thanks to New Mapping Tools
Despite previous success, no reasonably experienced entrepreneur will tell you that it is easy to start a business whose primary mission is to provide technology or services to paying customers profitably. Stated another way, starting a business is hard. It is often difficult to find what you need to address ongoing technology or business concerns, and when you discover the solution, you often needed it last week.
At the Innovate Texas Foundation, our mission is to foster innovation and commercialization in the state of Texas. Entrepreneurship is an important component of this process, and it is one that pervades all stages of business creation and operation. Entrepreneurship is largely about being resourceful and creative with the tools available to you at any given time.
The Innovate Texas Foundation wants to make finding what you need to start a business easier. Organizations exist in all areas of the state of Texas to help entrepreneurs commercialize their ideas, and we are releasing a tool that maps two kinds of these resources: Regional Centers for Innovation and Commercialization (RCIC) and local Chambers of Commerce.
Finding resources just became easier. Our new map shows these three types of resources around the state of Texas by category. Click on one of the pins found on the interactive map to see its respective address and link to its website.
You can also view the mapping tool at its permanent home here.
Placing informational pins on the map for entrepreneurs is a great start, but we are working on additional exciting mapping tools that we'll be releasing in the coming months.
Stay tuned to TexKnowledge for updates as we post new tools for Texas entrepreneurs.
